14. Cascais, Portugal
The country of Portugal is nothing more than picturesque. One of my favorites places is the seaside village of Cascais. The calmness of this beach village is the perfect place to enjoy a stroll with your love or a day out on the sea.
13. Koh Samet, Thailand
Nothing screams a romantic getaway than receiving a couple’s or single’s massage alongside the crystal blue waters of the Gulf of Thailand after a fun day scuba diving. As the famous beach town that visitors from Bangkok often travel to, Koh Samet is the perfect place to relax and enjoy Thailand’s famous coastal life with the person you love.
12. Mdina, Malta
Also known as The Silent City of Malta, Mdina is considered the playground of Maltese nobility. Mdina features towering walls and peaceful shady streets to admire either with your lover or even by yourself. (Who doesn’t love a charming and safe European city you can peacefully stroll around in?)
11. New Orleans, Louisiana
There is something in the air that makes New Orleans one of the most romantic cities in the world. Maybe it is the beautiful jazz music, the charming courtyards or the city’s rich mix of European and Cajun culture; there is something for everybody in NOLA!
10. Kennebunkport, Maine
Kennebunkport is known as Maine’s most romantic town. No matter what time of the year you decide to travel to Maine, you can stay at an adorable Bed & Breakfast and experience the beauty of each season in this quiet beach town.

Ah, the beach with the world’s finest white sand! Siesta Key, located in Florida’s Gulf Coast screams romance! This lovely little beach town offers one of the best sunsets you will ever experience. After spending a peaceful and relaxing day in the sun and sand, get ready for a romantic night on the town starting with a pink and golden sky, followed by a delicious dinner with palm trees swaying around you.
8. Ashford Castle, Cong, Ireland
According to Condé Nast Traveler, Ashford Castle in Western Ireland is rated the world’s second ‘Most Romantic’ place to propose and boy, they aren’t wrong. (Who wouldn’t want to get engaged in a castle?) This medieval wonderland will bring all of your fairytale love stories to life. Between serene cruises on the lake, horseback riding through Irish countryside or dining in one of the castle’s renowned restaurants, you will definitely share the ultimate love fantasy at Ashford Castle.

6. Yoho National Park, British Columbia, Canada
One of the most romantic places in the world is in Western Canada. Emerald Lake Lodge in Yoho National Park is the perfect place to unplug, savor fresh air, enjoy a canoe ride on one of the world’s cleanest lakes and cuddle with a view in the Canadian Rocky Mountains.
5. Walt Disney World, Orlando, Florida
There is nothing more perfect for lovebirds than living through their favorite Disney romance. Don’t forget to enjoy a horse and carriage ride around the park!
4. Ragusa, Sicily, Italy
Romantic Ragusa – oh where do I begin? Not only do I love this medieval region because my family is from there, but there is also something special that hits you when you arrive on the beautiful hilltop town of Ibla. Between the quiet and old-world Sicilian alleyways, the lovely accordion music playing in the background at every street café and the scenic views at each corner, Ragusa is definitely the region of romance in Sicily.
3. Lover’s Cove, Catalina Island, California
Known as the Island of Romance, Catalina Island is the perfect romantic getaway off the coast of California. The city of Avalon and its small, secluded area called Lover’s Cove offers a distinctive Mediterranean charm with gorgeous Pacific cliffs and views. Relax on the water during the day and stroll along the moonlit shore at night.

One of the most beautiful and romantic destinations out of all of the places I have been to in this amazing world is definitely Santorini, Greece.
